Alabama head coach Nick Saban owns an impressive 99-20 (.832) career mark against non-conference
opponents in the regular season and postseason across his four stops as a collegiate head coach. While at
Alabama, Saban has only two losses to non-conference opponents during the regular season, both of
which came in 2007 (14-21 vs. Florida State [in Jacksonville] and 14-21 vs. ULM). His record against
non-conference opponents in both the regular season and postseason at the Capstone is 68-7 (.907). Saban
also owns an impressive 42-1 mark at Bryant-Denny Stadium and is currently riding a 40-game home
winning streak against non-conference foes.

This weekend’s matchup with the Gamecocks is the earliest the Hogs have opened SEC play at home
since the 2012 season, when Arkansas hosted top-ranked Alabama on Sept. 15.

University of Missouri football will face a familiar foe from its Big 12 days in Kansas State on Sat., Sept.
10, in Manhattan, Kan. MU last faced a Big 12 team in 2019 (West Virginia). • The Tigers and the
Wildcats will tangle for the 98th time in Week 2. Mizzou holds a 60-32-5 edge over K-State with the first
meeting in 1909 and the most recent in 2011. MU’s last win in the Little Apple was 2009 (W, 38-12).

Saturday is the 17th all-time meeting between Vanderbilt and Wake Forest with Vandy holding a 10-6
edge in the series. • The series dates back to the first meeting in 1964. • Vandy has won its last three
matchups with most recently defeating the Demon Deacons in 2013 in Nashville. • In the 2013 victory,
current San Francisco 49er Jordan Matthews led the offense with 125 yards receiving. The game was the
regular-season finale, improving the Dores to 8-4. Vandy went on to defeat Houston, 41-24, in the BBVA
Compass Bowl that season. • Vanderbilt has outscored Wake Forest by an average of 23.3 points per
game in the last three meetings. • The Commodores are 4-4 in games against Wake Forest in Nashville. •
Versus teams that currently make up the ACC, Vandy is 65-62-6.

points and is 3-1 during this streak: (59-10 Ball State, 45-48 Purdue, 45-21 Vanderbilt, 60-14 South
Alabama). In 14 games in the Heupel era, the Vols are averaging 40.7 points per game.

After helping lead Georgia to the 2021 national championship, senior QB Stetson Bennett returns to the
quarterbacks room in 2022. In this year’s opener, Bennett was named the Walter Camp National FBS
Offensive Player of the Week after leading third-ranked Georgia over 11th-ranked Oregon 49-3 during
the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. Bennett was 25 for 31 (80.6 percent) for a career-high 368 yards and two
touchdowns to go along with one rushing score. Assuming the spot behind center for three-plus quarters
against the Ducks, Bennett helped the Bulldogs go 8-for-8 on third downs while he was in the game. Ten
different Georgia players hauled in catches in the season opener. Bennett is 15-3 as a starter, including

getting the nod in the final 11 games last season. He set the school record for Passing Efficiency at 176.7
during the 2021 national title campaign.

This will be the first meeting between Mississippi State and Arizona, and the Wildcats are the only team
on MSU's schedule in 2022 that the Bulldogs have not played before in their history. At 1,474 miles, the
trip to Tucson, Arizona, is State's longest since going 1,710 miles to BYU in 2016. Head coach Mike
Leach is 4-2 in his career against the Wildcats with all six meetings coming during his time at Washington State (2013-18).
